Enchanted Excurse

Afternoon Loverlies! I have recently read The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black. It is about a town that has FaeFolk living in it. The town and the fae have a pact in order to keep the fae from killing any townsfolk or tourist. But of course, you can not keep the fae from doing harm for too long. The main characters are siblings named Ben and Hazel. At a young age, they decided to start killing some of these evil fae. Later on a monster breaks the pact and starts causing deaths to happen. These events make them feel the need to protect their town and kill this monster. That is really all I will say about what happens in the book. 

This book was very easy to read and easy to stay stuck in the book. So easy that I read it in just only two days, lol. I enjoy stories about the fae world, and I believe Black did an amazing job of portraying it. I loved the twists that were in this book and also found it easy to like these characters. She also did an amazing job at how she explained what happened in the past to these characters. Even though I rented this book from the Library,  I do believe it is a book that must be owned. I will have to make sure and purchase this book! Have a Blessed Day!

Mawnin' Loverlies!! Stargirl, when I first started reading this book, I thought it would be a teeny bopper kinda book. I hope that makes sense. lol. But Jerry Spinelli did a decent job not writing book like that. This book is about a girl named Stargirl, that moves to Mica High School in Arizona. It is basically told by a guy named Leo. Which was odd for me at first, I'm not used to reading a book that the story is told by a guy. Interesting changed!! I probably should read more books eh?

Stargirl is an odd one. She's very weird and unique. She is also very nice. She likes to make everyone happy and her niceness is extremely contagious. I of course felt a connection to her character, because of how weird/unique she is. This book is actually a very decent read and kid friendly. I believe it makes you think about who you believe is more important in your life. And what happens if you decide not to hang out with that one person, you miss out. I recommend to give this book a try. I know I am going to to try to find the second book, just to see where it goes. :) Ta Ta For Now!!

Afternoon Loverlies!! I have finally finished reading Fearless by Francine Pascal. This is a Young Adult book. A lot of the Young Adult books I have noticed have "gettin' it on Scenes" in them. lol This book did have one quick scene, but that was it. Maybe i'm just old fashioned. But if I had a teenager I don't believe I would allow them to read these Young Adult books they have out nowadays. Maybe that would make me a bit controlling? Is that the word? Oh well. Onto this book.

I actually enjoyed this book, considering there were no witches or vampires. It is about this girl who is in high school named Gaia Moore. She grew up with a loving father and mother. Her father would teach her different types of martial arts and fighting skills. He also taught her how to shoot guns. Basically how to protect herself. When she was a teenager her mother died and her father left short after that. She then had to live with different foster parents. She finally ended up with an old friend of her fathers named George who was in the CIA and his wife Ella. (I think I remembered that right. HA!). Gaia wasn't fond of Ella. Anyways, Gaia is missing the emotion of Fear. Get it? The book is called Fearless. ;) That's all i'm giving out!! I don't want to give away all of the goodies. This book is full of adventure, fighting, and suspense. If that's what y'all love reading. Then I say, give it a go. I found it to be a very easy read. I now have to get the next book and see what happens! Here I come Library...
