My New Year Words: Faith and Health

Hello Loverlies! Happy new year to all of y'all! What are y'alls words or resolutions for this year? I've been thinking about mine and I still need to work on faith. But I have found Health is a good word that will help me work on Faith. So my words for this new year are Faith and Health. I want to lose weight and get healthy. The maybe my brain chemicals will not be so anxious and down and out. So that is my goal that I NEED to happen. It is very hard for me to work because of my anxiety disorder, but I have been trying to apply to part time positions. It doesn't hurt to at least try to work and see how well I do or if I still cannot attempt it. I just really need this, I want to help my hubby. He has been having to work overtime and I know it's hard. It makes him so tired and I really want to help. I've been seeing my doctors, but haven't been to them enough to make much improvement yet. So prayers please that something works soon.

I have been purchasing Birchbox lately and sorry I have slacked to share the goodies I've been getting. I am going to start sharing them with y'all. I would like to switch to one that has full products other than samples in it though. Maybe someday I can do that and share whatever I get with that subscription box with y'all. If y'all know of any good subscription boxes that have full products other than samples, leave me a comment below. We finally got the last of our furniture in that we have purchased. We have been trying to slowly make this house feel more homey. After we get all of these items paid off, the next item I have in mind is a dining table! I cannot wait! I leave y'all with a picture of the last piece of furniture. I am excited to show what I have found to put on top of it. All of the items except the picture frame are from flea markets! I just am obsessed with flea markets. I am obsessed with teapots and teacups now also. When spring comes I plan on planting flowers in my teacups and teapots, so my deck can have like a little mad tea party going on out there. If you don't know me well enough, then you don't understand my fascination and obsession with Alice In Wonderland. I just love it! The next post I will have to share with y'all something else I've started collecting! Don't worry I am working on reading The 5th Wave, so soon I shall have a book review out also. Have a happy and blessed New year!

FAITH 2015

Mawnin' Loverlies! I am so happy because last week for mine and my hubby's wedding anniversary, we go to go see INTO THE WOODS! Finally! I enjoyed the movie and it is a must buy when it comes out to purchase. The music just gives me chills, it is so beautiful. It is worth also seeing it in the theater.

I am still battling a sinus infection, praying that it will leave me soon. My hubby is finally getting better with is illness also, which is a blessing. This year instead of a new years resolution, I am choosing a word. My word for 2015 is FAITH, because I need to have more Faith and get closer to God. I noticed a lot of folks are just choosing words, and I think it is Brilliant. There is so much you can do with your chosen word and it also seems like it is a more realistic approach at bettering ourselves. Focusing on one word each year. I can't wait to see what God has in store for me this year and I pray it only gets better and better each year. As soon as I get over this sickness, we are going to attempt church again. I believe that is the first step at getting back with Faith. I can do it, I just need to focus and stick with it. :) What is your word for this year? Have a Blessed Day!

Afternoon Loverlies! I decided to do a CHALLENGE!! WEEEEE!! I will put this widget on the side of my blog also. :) I am excited!! I sometimes get scared of challenges because I get bored easily with them. lol Well I will complete this challenge. I made a promise to myself! I have to make sure I don't overwhelm myself like I easily do at times. lol I joined this group on Goodreads called Into The Forest. It is a group that discusses fairy tales, myths, legends, and monsters. I just love fairy tales. I have always loved them ever since I was little. I also enjoy reading nursery rhymes. I have no clue why I've enjoyed them so much, just always have.

This Into The Forest group has set a group challenge for 2014. I am going to add this into my read 100 books challenge for this year. Kill two birds with one stone, eh? That's such a horrible metaphor! I wouldn't want to kill birds. :( But it does help explain what I am talking about. At least I hope it does!! lol Anyways, this challenge I have accepted from this group is:

1. Read one book from Endicott YA Fairy Tale list
2. Read one book from Endicott adult Fairy Tale list
3. Read one book from the Endicott Mythic Fiction list
4. Read a Greek Myth with which you are not familiar (or have forgotten most of)
5. Then read a modern retelling of that Myth (published 2000 and later)
6. Read Fractured fairy tales (can be one story, a novel or a collection)
7. Read several Tales from Arabian Nights that you are not familiar with
8. Read a book on Urban Legends or a critical analysis of Urban Legends
9. Read a retelling of Arthurian legend or a book about Arthurian Legends
10. Read a collection of non-European Fairy Tales, Myths or Folktales
11. Read a fairy tale that you are not familiar with and.....
12. then read a retelling or critical book about that tale

Interesting eh? If you have a Goodreads account and want to join the group/group challenge click this LINK for the page. Just scroll down a teeny bit and you will see the challenge. Well, that's one of my main goals for this year! What's Yours? ;) Ta Ta For Now!

What Shall Happen This New Year

Mawnin' Loverlies! I came across a cute link-up on a blog called Simply Alli. I decided to join in the fun. It is a New Years link- up but that was only two days ago, so why not? :)

A bad habit I’m going to break: I have been working on this already, but the bad habit is Stop thinking negative. It is very hard, especially when i get depressed or dealing with my anxiety. But It will better me in the long run, if I can learn to control it.

A new skill I’d like to learn: I would like to learn to paint/draw better.

A person I hope to be more like: I can't think of a person I hope to be more like. But I would like to be stronger in the Lord and be more positive. I think i'm a pretty cool person, so I will just stay myself. But become a better version of myself.

A good deed I’m going to do:  As I stated in my last post about positive words. I am going to try to say positive/encouraging words to strangers I see. It is going to be hard. With anxiety a lot of times I don't want to talk to folks. lol I get kinda scared. oops.

A place I’d like to visit: I would like to visit my biological grandmother. So I can meet her and get to know more about her and our ancestors. I would also like to meet my two half sisters. Just hard for me because of gas money and they live far away. It is very hard for me to be away from my house for a long period of time.

A book I’d like to read: I would love to read all of  The Iron King series by Julie Kagawa.

A letter I’m going to write: I want to remember to write little notes to my husband more often, to encourage him. :)

A new food I’d like to try: When it comes to food, I am very picky. There isn't much I really would want to try. I would love to find a place that made homemade Ramen. Also I never wanted to try Lamb, but maybe i'm missing out. Maybe I should try Lamb? I just love the cute little sheep dangit!!

I’m going to do better at: Everything!! :D Ta Ta For Now!!

A picture of snow I took last year!! :) With some added scripture of course. ;)
