Unbreakable!

Afternoon Loverlies! I haven't been doing to too much lately. Yesterday I decided to give the new Netflix series called Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt a try. I found I enjoyed this show! I actually binge watched it all yesterday morning. lol It is about these four women who were kidnapped into an apocalyptical cult. Their Reverend stated the world would end on 06.06.06, so he hid them down in a bunker with him. Finally they are found by the FBI and the women are free. One of the women, her name is Kimmy Schmidt, decides to live in New York City. She ends up moving into an apartment that is up for co-renting, and also finds a job being a nanny. I enjoyed the characters on this show, especially how quirky Kimmy is. She is a very bubbly and spirited women, given her circumstances she has been in. Of course the character I dislike the most is the reverend, he is very sexist against women. BLECK! One thing I found was the theme song was very catchy. Schmoyoho was asked to auto-tune the news interview for the theme song. (I Found this Information HERE) I say if this sounds like your type of show, give it a try! Have a Blessed Day!

Oh, To Be Faithful As Esther

Mawnin' Loverlies! I have finally received my first book to review from Family Christian! I was so excited about this book, it is called Esther: Royal Beauty by Angela Hunt. This book is a little bit of a dramatization of the story about Esther in the Bible. At the end of this book the author explains how she tried to keep the story as accurate it is in the Bible. This is the first e-book I have every fully read and wrote a book review on. I do enjoy books I hold better, because I love the feel of them in my hands and they don't hurt my eyes to read them. I will say, it was easy for me to read because of how interesting it was. I enjoyed this book immensely, and now have found a favorite story of the Bible. Sadly I have never fully read the story of Esther before, but I have found it is a story of adventure and suspense. It is also a great story for teaching us how to have faith and patience within the Lord. Esther was a very brave woman, and great example for how we should fight our trials. I very much recommend this book for everyone to read. I also suggest, if you decided to read this book, that you read the story of Esther in the KJV bible. I decided to read it from the Bible myself, and also have watched the movie. I was so lucky to have found the movie Esther on Netflix to watch! I do wish they would redo the movie as how this book is written, it is a bit different of course, then how Hunt wrote her book. Again I say, give this book a read because it is wonderful! If you want to give this book a try HERE is a link where you can purchase it. Have a Blessed Day!

Synopsis From Goodreads:

An ambitious tyrant threatens genocide against the Jews in ancient Persia, so an inexperienced beautiful young queen must take a stand for her people.

When Xerxes, king of Persia, issues a call for beautiful young women, Hadassah, a Jewish orphan living in Susa, is forcibly taken to the palace of the pagan ruler. After months of preparation, the girl known to the Persians as Esther wins the king's heart and a queen's crown. But because her situation is uncertain, she keeps her ethnic identity a secret until she learns that an evil and ambitious man has won the king's permission to exterminate all Jews--young and old, powerful and helpless. Purposely violating an ancient Persian law, she risks her life in order to save her people...and bind her husband's heart.

Esther marks bestselling author Angela Hunt's return to biblical fiction. In each novel she explores an example of a Hebrew Old Testament tob woman: a woman whose physical beauty influences those around her--and can change the course of history.

Where Art Thou Anime?

Afternoon Loverlies! Do any of y'all read mangas? I try to get into some of them. I enjoy the Witch And Wizard manga's by James Patterson. I've read one of the Alice The Country Of Hearts, that was interesting. ;) One manga I read a few months ago is called Cat Paradise written by Yuji Iwahara. The original name for it is Gakuen Sousei Nekoten. I have been trying to see if it is an Anime, but I'm having awful luck at searching. argh!! I just have to watch it though. lol I'm trying to find some good anime's to watch that aren't dirty. It seems like there are a lot that are just dirty, especially on Netflix. It is frustrating. If anyone figures out if it is an anime I can watch, let me know please. Also what are your favorite mangas/animes? I shall leave y'all with some pictures from this manga. It is cute! It is basically about these students at this school that have powers. They are allowed to bring cats with them to school and their cats have powers. Well the students that are on the student council only have powers. But they have to fight off this evil spirit things. lol Well that's an idea of what it's about, so far it's cute though. Here is a synopsis I found on Wikipedia of it.

Yumi and her cat, Kansuke had just entered Matabi Academy,a school where students are allowed to have their pet cats live at the dorms. All goes quite well when they are suddenly dragged into a war that had begun long ago to stop Kaen, a great and ancient demon cat. A long time ago, he destroyed the Futakago kingdom, a kingdom that angered Kaen for some unknown reason. Since then, Princess Kiri and her cat, Shirayuki, fought him and sealed him in Futakago's barrier. Many years later, Kaen was finally sealed at Matabi Academy itself, but not before warning to return 100 years later. To prevent this from happening, Princess Kiri and Shirayuki chose a select group of students and their cats and granted them powers that best suit their talents and abilities. These students are Matabi Academy's student council and protect the school. But when Kaen's subordinate, Tsukumoishu, attacked Yumi and Kansuke, the pair was greeted by the Princess and Shirayuki and promised a great power if they chose to fight the threat of Kaen. With no choice, the seventh pair of student and cat make a pact and join this ancient battle.
