Just Me Being Artsy!

Hello there Loverlies!! I have been so sleepy lately! lol It doesn't help that it has rained a lot, but I can say at least we are blessed to have the rain and not be in a drought. I am thankful for that. What have y'all been up to lately? I have just been attempting my art again. I needed something to hang up in the living room for the barren area I had. Also wanted to make something to add to the computer room for decoration. So I decided to share what I made with y'all.

The Painting I made for the living room is just some dandelions painted with acrylic on canvas. I decided to keep it monochrome because of the other picture we have in the living room. The other one is a black and white landscape photo we bought at Micheal's. I really do love landscapes! I am hoping this summer I can get out and attempt some landscape photos of my own. The item I did for the computer room is a collage. I am not the best at collages, but I tried. I just bought some cheap old comic books from Hastings and Kapow Comics. (Kapow Comics is located in Sherwood,Arkansas) I used mod podge and glued them on to a canvas. After that I just used an Acrylic paint sealant for both of my projects to protect them. I would love to see what art projects y'all do. If y'all want to just post in the comments below a picture or link to your art. Have a Blessed Day!

I decided to buy some of the convergence comics to hang next to my collage. I just love the covers of these comics.

Kawaii All The Way!

Mawnin' Loverlies! This is just a small post today! I wanted to share with y'all a gift I sent a friend of mine, but I had to wait until he received it first. I Did not want to spoil his surprise, lol. I went online and found some cute kawaii cupcakes and sushi to draw from. Sometimes when I am first drawing something, I draw better by looking at an example. I also purchased from Blippo a cute neko plushie charm. Blippo has a lot of cute kawaii items for a very decent price. It did take them almost two months to send it, but I'm assuming that is because I ordered it at the end of December and it is from a different country. I even emailed them about my item, because I was worried about it, and the customer service Representative that emailed me back was very nice and helpful. I enjoy looking at all their items on their store site, I wish I could buy it all! What is your favorite Kawaii store? Have a Blessed Day!

The card I made! I used watercolor to paint it and for the sprinkles acrylic.

The CUTE plushie neko charm from Blippo!

I also made him an ATC, which is an artist trading card.

The Need To Paint Often

Mawnin' Loverlies! I recently received a book from Blogging For Books called Daily Painting: Paint Small and Often to Become a More Creative, Productive, and Successful Artist written by Carol Marine. In the beginning of this book Marine talks about she got into selling her paintings and entering them into galleries. In this book she explains the benefits of blogging and selling online, and painting often and small. Marine also explains what materials she uses, how to place your still life objects correctly before painting them, and Marine also has quite a few paintings where she shows what she did step by step. This book is a great book for an artist that is first getting started, because it has so many tips and information that will help. This book mainly talks about oil painting, but you can use this information with any type of paints. Go HERE if you are wanting to purchase the book. Have a Blessed Day!

Synopsis From Goodreads:

A unique system for jump-starting artistic creativity, encouraging experimentation and growth, and increasing sales for artists of all levels, from novices to professionals.

Too many artists find themselves in a frustrating rut: unable to sell paintings hanging in galleries, bogged down by projects they can't finish "or "abandon, and using any excuse to avoid working in the studio. Author Carol Marine was herself suffering from painter's block--until she discovered "daily painting." The idea is simple: do art (usually small) often (how often is up to the individual) and, if you desire, post it and sell it online. Today Marine is among the best and most celebrated daily painters, and the curator of the popular online gallery dailypaintworks.com. In her debut, "Daily Painting," Marine reveals the tips and tricks that helped her and other daily painters pick up the paintbrush and start creating beautiful, bountiful, marketable work

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: CAROL MARINE is an artist and the creator of the popular blog A Painting a Day (or Almost). She is a member of Daily Paintworks, a distinguished group of daily painters, and she teaches daily painting workshops around the country. Marine lives in Eugene, Oregon. Visit www.dailypaintworks.com.

Little Birdys

Afternoon Loverlies! I decided to get some 8x10 canvases so I could make some little paintings as my bathroom Decor. I have a thing lately where I love decorating with Birds, and  a mint blue color. My curtains have a big tree and some cute blue birds on it. I purchased the curtain a good while ago from Walmart. I used to like red in every room, but i'm slowly venturing away from it being in every room. My shower curtain was inspiration for the paintings, because I just wanted to draw some birds on a tree limb to match the curtains. I think I am happy with how they came out. :) Enough blabbering and on with the pictures! Have A Blessed Day!

I hope they look good how I hung them up. Thinking about getting a frame for them.

Loving Art!

Evening Loverlies! I started in September to attempt drawing again. In high school I tried drawing little cartoon characters all the time, and I missed it. So I have been trying to attempt drawing people again. Sadly they still turn out like cartoon characters though. I really was trying to draw realistic people, but I have failed in the realistic area. lol I just try to remind myself anything can be art, so that I do not get discouraged and It is just my style of drawing. I have also been following some cool Facebook art groups. I love seeing all the drawings and paintings in the groups, because they can be really inspirational at times. I will post the links to the groups below my pictures, if y'all are interested in checking them out. That's all I have to talk about for today! Hope y'all enjoy my drawings and have a blessed day!

Paint Me A Picture

Mawnin' Loverlies! I didn't do much this weekend. My hubby and I played some GTA V and bug sprayed around the house. We have to make sure them spiders don't go crawling in the house! Ugh! Saturday my sissy in law came over to hang out with us. :) We were happy because we were having sissy withdrawals. lol We made chicken and mushrooms with pearl onions, quinoa casserole, and avocado in egg. It was delicious! We went ahead and rented The Hungover Games to watch, it was pretty good. I hate when they make those parody movies and they put some nudity or vulgur to it. It can be funny without that stuff, argh! Other than that, we didn't do much this weekend. I am happy we got outside and hopefully bug prevented the house, we went walking, and we also went looking around at stores. I've been trying to find the perfect chimes or even something that will hang where my old chimes hung. Sadly, my chimes were cut, I think some kids came and cut them up. I have no clue why though, we have had those chimes for almost two years and no complaints or anything. Then one day they cut the chimes part off. It really makes me upset, more paranoid, and non trusting to anything. One day I hope to have a house with a fence around the whole yard or something like that. When I have children, I will try my best to make sure they are disciplined and do right. I'm sure it is easier said then done, but I'm going to try!! lol

I wanted to show y'all this app I bought about a week ago now, I think it was a week ago. I can never remember most the time. It is called waterlogue and it costs 2.99 on the iphone. I love this app!! It is the best painting photo apps I have seen yet. And if you are like me and just have to make every picture you take painted, you will not waste your money with buying this app. lol Anyways, I thought I would share with y'all the pictures I have used Waterlogue on so far. :) Ta Ta For Now!

Learn MORE About ME Monday! - 6

Afternoon Loverlies!! Well yesterday I went to my Mother in laws house. My anxiety wasn't too extreme. YAY!! I had a good time also!! :) So glad, that helped my Christmas spirit a bit. I have one more Christmas to go to. I can't wait either!! It's gonna be breakfast foods!!! Example: Chocolate gravy and biscuits!!! I forgot what the other choices are, but I like them. ;) Today I feel a bit down in the dumps it just hit me a minute ago. ARGH!!! *shakes fist at her brain* GET IT TOGETHER, I MEAN, COME ON NOW!! Therefore I am writing a blog post, reading a book, and finding active stuff to distract myself from these sad thoughts/feelings. I think I can do it. Today is Learn MORE About ME Monday!

1.) Here's another odd thing you may not know, I used to put cool whip on sandwich bread and eat it.

2.) I think Paramore is easy to listen to and fall in love with all their songs. Because of Hayleys' voice, it is just simple, smooth, and different. I love it! I love all types of music. I'm not that fond of techno, screamo, electro (I think that's how you say it), some rap. Yep.

3.) I wish I could paint. That is one creative thing I don't have, also craft making, sewing, crocheting, you name it. I can make some things, but a lot of items I see it perfectly made in my head. Then I attempt to create it and it comes out like a wad of poop.

4.) My memory is horrible. I even forget my birthday and age sometimes. One of the reasons why I wanted Codey and I to get married on New Years Eve, was to make it easy for us to remember. Another reason is I have never done anything special on New Years Eve. So I wanted to make it a special day, and we did. :D

5.) I have always wondered if I would look good with pale/Ice blond hair. I am too scared to try it though. lol Maybe someday I will attempt it.

6.) Abba, a lot of times, makes me happy. :D It just is an easy mood lifter most the time. Makes me feel so happy all over. Also Hey Jude, I love that song.

Mine and my Sissys' Bunheads!!

Scriptures And Painting Galore!!!

Evening Loverlies!! I decided to share a few more loverly apps that I have on my iphone with y'all. I think these are very neat to be honest. lol The first app is called Word - a christian daily bible devotion. It is basically as it says. It gives you a picture with scripture or inspirational words on it. Most the pictures are very pretty, and are awesome for a background for my phone!! Above the picture it will show some scripture you can look up in your bible. I actually LOVE this app!! The downside of this app is, I am on a 31 day free trial. After that I would have to subscribe to receive more. I sadly don't have the money for that. lol But I will enjoy the free ones I received during my free trial though!!

I wanted to post one of the scriptures of my fave pictures in this app. The scripture is 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV and states "And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." I am not the best with interpreting scripture. But when I go to the NIV version to get a better understanding of this scripture. I believe it is stating that troubles will come our way, but we must rely on God that he can help get us out of these troubles. And that he can help us because he is strong and powerful and we are weak. We must lay all our issues on him and have faith, that he will get us through those storms that we are going through. I am going through that right now with my hubby and him trying to get through school. It is so pricey!! But we must not let it get us down and try to stay positive. We must give it to the Lord and pray about it. ;) Anyways, I wanted to show y'all the pictures that I have received from this app so far.

The next app is called Emulsion Paint. I love this app you just paint whatever you want, then you hit duplicate as many times as you want to save it. That way you can have as many copies to mess around with the photo. Then exit out of that area where you paint, and hit effects and mess around with that FUN SHTUFF!! lol I have some I messed around with I wanted to show y'all. I shall be doing this more though. WEEEEE!!! I can't remember if this is free or not, but if you enjoy painting and such I recommend it. ;) Ta Ta For Now!!

(The First Picture, I also used an effect from Pixlromatic.)
